Phytohaemagglutinin is a lectin extracted from red kidney beans. PHA-M is an extract used for the stimulation of cell proliferation in lymphocyte culture. PHA-M also has a powerful erythroagglutinating property and it was originally used for separating leukocytes from whole blood.
